Glow Plugs Timer ? (KZ)

Post by JJBotes »

Kan iemand my dalk sê of daar iewers op `n KZ `n sensor is wat die temparatuur van die engin meet en sodoende die tyd wat die Glow Plugs aan bly beheer ?

My glow plugs kry net krag vir so 2 sekondes, maak nie saak hoe koud dit is nie. Die bakkie begin sukkel om te start as dit koud is.

Ek het die battery getoets by battrie center, hy is 100%.

The actual "pigtail" light on the dash stays on only for a few seconds, 2 or so, but if you listen nicely you'll hear the relay click a few more secs after the light has gone off on the dash. On colder days it stays on longer and hear hear it click. But if it's battling to start on cold mornings, maybe you should replace the glowplugs - easy job, hope you come right,

On my previous diesel I wired an LED with the appropriate resistor straight from the glow plug power bar to see how long the glow plugs stay on. On the Mazda the two also worked independantly, why I don't know.

did it start nicely after you waited for the relay to click? if it does then there is no need to replace glow plugs just be patient and wait for the click

I'd leave it as is, just listen for the click, it's so audible anyway, also you'll see the dash lights go slightly brighter after the click, then you know she's ready to be fired up, easy as pie.

Hi Guys.
80amp fuse is blown.
How do u get that fuse out, has 2 screws on either side of fuse but fuse leg on right is covered by the housing.
How does the housing clip out to get to that screw?
