Looks like a 1JZ ...... straight six, EFI & turbo. Looks like an after market intercooler. ;-) Might just fit into the Terios with a few serious mods! :laugh2:

Thanks. It is currently built into a Toyota surf 93' model. The owner said he gets +- 15km/l when he drives decently. He drives from pta to potch daily. I just find it hard to believe.

A little hard to believe, but I suppose it's possible with that setup and a decent driving style. Plenty power there and power means less "voet in die hoek" required (power to weight ratio). Also depends on how efficient the power delivery of that motor is and what diffs / tyre size he's running.

Apparently it has 31" tyres and a 1 : 4.8 diff. Been modified so you dont have to get out to lock the hubs. When you put it into 4 high or so it automaticly locks.

IMO he should be running 33's with that motor and diff ratio.

The Cambelt cover makes me think its a 7MGTE, turbo version of the 3litre Cressida engines.

The intake to turbo piping on a 1JZGTE, also does not cross over the engine.

I agree with Ben, it's 5M or 7M GTE, the turbo version's ignition system differs from the normal aspirated 7M.

I've never seen one with a intercooler before... and the consumption is more like 15L/100km or 6.5km/l... no chance you'll get 15km/l no matter how nicely you drive it!
