What glue to use on the dashboard

I don't want to drill holes and have tried different glues but nothing sticks to the dashboard. Any suggestions ?

I used silicon.

Double sided tape might also work, depending on your application.

Double sided tape will work, just clean the dashboard first and let it dry, it worked for me.

You can use "sikaflex 221" or "carbond" but make sure the surface is cleaned properly with turpentine or spirits "no thinners"

I got pepperspray I want to keep closeby. I use presstick now above the handbrake to be reachable from both seats, but don't last in the heat and fall down.
The ultrasonic sensor is glued with gray RTV - underneath the lighter - I don't want to touch it.
I normally clean the surface with benzine - it doesn't leave a deposit.
Maybe I must try some of those thin black double sided tape - the white ones shows to easy.

Sorry thank you for the feedback. On the otherhand I don't want to use proper glue - if I want to swap places I don't want to damage the dash.

I used silicon to stick my old carkit to the dash. was dificult to remove when I sold the car but no marks.

Try one of those smelly thing bracket that fits in the vents. Remove the bottle and fit the pepperspray to the head.
