Hi all
My brother-in-law has a Toyota dyna that he wants to convert the points and condenser to electronic points. Does someone know how to do/done this before. Where does one get the parts please?

I would start by Googling electronic ignition. I remember a long time ago they were advertising a system called "Ignitor" IIRC in the 4x4 magazines. I think there are quite a few options and I don't think too difficult to do, basically remove points and drop in electronic unit. Others might have more knowledge of this than I, and maybe there is a Hilux distrubuter that could be a direct swap, but I sure don't know.

Would your brother perhaps be interested in another Dyna of that era?

Mmmm He wants to convert and sell the vehicle, sorry.

I got one of those units which replaces the points for the L28 in my Jeep. Found it about a year ago on Gumtree, but cannot find the ad now anymore.

If I remember I will go open the distributor tomorrow and see if these is a sticker on it. Maybe I can find you a contact number or wweb address. The guy who sold it was in CPT
