Conquest rear speakers

Post by george »

So I have upgraded the sound system.A new head unit and speakers in front.
Now I want to put some speakers in the rear, but not through my backboard. The conquest act like a panel van most of the time.
On my previous one there was speakers in the rear.more or less where the rear seat belts is.Where the back board clips in.There is already speaker wires there and then you need to take out the current piece of plastic and then insert the speaker with its trimming.I hope this make sense.
Can you only get this inserts from toyota or a sound installer.Or do you guys know of another place I can get it?

What I do know is that 6'x9' won't fit in there, so you'll have to go smaller. Good luck.

The thing is I am only looking for the speaker insert which was not standard on all the models. Will try toyota or a sound place in the week.

Donks no 6x9's for know.Would not mind the sound though.
The rate I am going now I will have to cancel my SA4x4 subs and get the speed and sound mag

Scrapyard will be the place to try then  , sound places generally do not keep such since they do installations on a lot of different cars.

The Toyota "Conquest" had these as standard.

Not sure when it was dropped in the "Tazz" life run. Tazz were from 1996 to 2006.

So might want to find a pre-1996 Conquest in a scrap yard.

if memory serves me right, those were 4'' speakers.

They where 5x3 inch speakers that fitted in those fittings. You can try Zakspeed in Woodmead. They still stock them.
