The old .303

Post by Borntofish »

This year I have loaded the old war horse with Impala's to take it out for a test run in the field in June.

After a couple of loads the old .303 started to agree with 40gr S321 in small stamped PMP cases. The spreed is at 2750ft/s and below is the best group I got at 150m after we tweaked the scope a bit to the right.

Nothing wrong with the old Enfield - those .303 still make good hunting rifles.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Rightfully or wrongly there has been more game shot in Africa with te .303 than anything else. Close contender would be the 7mm Mauser
