Donkey out on the Vaal River

Post by Donkey »

Hi guys/gals

The past Thursday myself and a friend, Vusi, we headed out to the Vaal River for a day of fishing/relaxing. On arrival found three black okes already there, much to my surprise, and in a Hulix nogal :yahoo: , they were nice guys and very like-minded and so it proved to be a perfect start to a lovely day.

It turned out to be a very lovely and easy day, but we didn't catch much except for about four sub-1kg barbells. We left the river around 19:00 hrs and had no regrets. Since another friend had been pestering us the whole day, as to why we left him behind, we decided to return the next day, Friday.

So Friday came and by 06:15 we were already on our way with the guys. This time armed with a canoe boat and the Friday spirit, there was no stopping this trio! :dance1:

Today turned out to be even more fun than Thursday, also a much better catch than the previous day. 3 Carps, around 1.8kg, a King Carp, and some more barbells. But I spent most of the day in the water canoeing and having a good time.

Two good days, very well spent - what more can I ask for?

The pics aren't good quality as I was using my cellphone, do excuse me :cooldude: . and the 1st pic is the one at the very bottom.

Regards,
Donkey.
