Walvis bay dune trails?

Post by Giovann »

Hi,

Been over landing Nam for the pass few weeks now been having a blast on the endless kilometers of gravel roads! Even did my manditory Tyre sacrifice to the 4x4 gods :celebrate:

I'm now in walvis bay and wondering if there is actually trails or places where you can legally go dune bashing? I've looked at a few of the touristy stuff but could only find the sandwich harbor route which you do in the operators vehicle or fork ZAR4000 to use your own 4x4 :shock2:

Call Don, he is in Swakop. If he do not have a tour on at the moment he goes to the dunes often. +264 81 775 2886 . Maybe you are lucky enough to join them.

Thanks found the place opposite Langstrand also got a permit from NWR just incase... Then I also managed to book a self drive guided tour to sandwich bay that won't break the bank R1300 with Photoadventures... Which works out for me cause I'm flying solo on this trip wouldn't want to tempt fait too much

Will do

FYI the beach to pelican point is also nice if you looking to get some sand on your tekkies...

Its a bit soft, but you shouldn't have any real issues
