Step 4 complete - Custom Rock Sliders installed

If we can have a forum for the Amarok, I see no reason why we cant have one for Daihatsu, which is part owned by Toyota anyway.

Step 4 complete - Custom Rock Sliders installed

Post by Ali3n »

Okay, after an 8 month battle for time :aggresive: I finally got my rock sliders done. :yahoo: Built out of 70 x 50 x 4 mm rectangular tubing for the impact point and 40 x 2.5 mm round bar as a step. This I think was the hardest (all by myself with a helping hand every now and then from my wife, thanks ) to build but I feel it was worth the blood, sweat, WORDS  and wait. I have gone with rubberizing for the finish to match the bulbar but once I have started building and completed my off-road bumper (front and rear) which will be powder coated, I will take them off and sand blast them and also have them powder coated. Any comments good or bad are more than welcome.

Extra electrical points front and back. A/T tyres and the Stickers (Which I feel could still be the best upgrade sofar :laugh2: ).

Still on the TO-DO list. Snorkel (by jou kry). Breathers, Diff lockers rear, Low range conversion, Branches and free flow, Chip, Roof rack, Off-road bumpers front and back with decent recovery points, Winch, 15" rims and tyres and anything else i can't think of now...

(baie beperkte spasie).

Only time will tell.

Julle is almal great!!!
