28 Tears .. I mean .. YEARS!

Post by Mud Dog »

Swambo & I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary yesterday ... not sure which one of us deserves the medal. Maybe both of us do.
We just went and did a quick little jol through the Nahoon Mouth nature reserve which is little more than a stone's throw away from home, picnic lunch enol, which we ate sitting on the top of a dune overlooking the sea and river mouth. She's not much of a nature enthusiast, but enjoyed the outing. At one point we were surprised to see a little blue duiker browsing in the middle of the track, quite undisturbed by our presence. Had a nice afternoon nap .... something I never do ... and went out for dinner at a local restaurant.

Some Impala grazing at the golf club next to the reserve.

Swambo & 'Dog' ...... now you can see how petit she is and why I had to make the "Swambo Step" for her to get in & out :D:

Down to the 'beach' on the far side looking across at the Promenade.

The little Blue Duiker that was grazing in the road ... a bit far and unclear ... sorry

... and back home, the Nahoon Beach / river mouth on the near side (to home).

Congrats Andy, and to SWAMBO too, who has most probably endured all sorts of difficulties in trying to contain you.

So.... you've got scenery too, have you? We have Mine Dumps, Mine Head gear, Mine Dumps, Mielie fields, Mine Dumps....

Thanks guys, for the good wishes and congrats ..... she proibably deserves it more than me :D: , but don't be mistaken, that little ball of fire can give as good as what she gets .... what she lacks in stature she more than makes up for in 'tounge'!

Rich, the first time ever I saw the blue pills was when Bennie posted a pic of them .... I had no idea what he was talking about when he teased me about 'blue pills' ... just made out as though I understood what he meant  ..... no need for them ... yet!
Ja, I'm still not sure myself which is one is more cute ..... the jury's still out on that one    Truth be told, I could have done a lot worse! :D

Oh!, we've already done the 2nd honeymoon thing ..... many times over!

Thanks Tony, Kobus and Mickey! ;-)

One of my 'mates' sent us this ...... thankfully we are not there (yet)!

After his exam the doctor asked the elderly man: "You appear to be in good health.
Do you have any medical concerns you would like to ask me about?"

"In fact, I do," said the old man. "After I have sex with my wife, I am usually
cold and chilly, and then, after I have sex with her the second time, I
am usually hot and sweaty."

Later, after examining his elderly wife, the doctor said: "Everything appears
To be fine. Do you have any medical concerns that you would like to
discuss with me?"

She replied that she had no questions or concerns.

The doctor then said to her: "Your husband had an unusual concern. He claims
that he is usually cold and chilly after having sex with you the first
time, and then hot and sweaty after the second time. Do you know why?"

"Oh that crazy old fart," she replied. "That's because the first time is usually
in January and the second time is in August."

Hehe! Cheer up Chris, the difference ratio narrows as time goes on! :winkx:

Funny thing though, we decide to go out for lunch instead of dinner, .... you know how it is, late nights out become less appealing in later years. Anyway, our daughter is home for the day (for a change), doing her laundry and some other neglected and accumulating chores. Shortly after midday we're gone, expecting to be back in time for an afternoon nap, but as it turned out we had an extended lunch .... very extended!
Here close to 5 pm we get a call from her to find out if we're OK and when we'll be back - she's worried! Oh what a (sadistically) great feeling it is to turn the tables on them! :D:

So you are 100% sure there is no expire date on that contract :siffler:
