Condolences on your loss Eric, not an easy task by any means. Although it's more often the most humane route, it always seems so unfair that a lifetime of faithful companionship is 'rewarded' with such a vet trip. :(

Been there too many times as I'm sure you have too. I feel for you at this time and I know Rusty was close to your heart but on the upside, 14 years is a long time of good memories to be cherished.

Hang in there, old friend.

Man's best friend indeed. Always ready to welcome you home, will just be with you when you need a friend to listen, always up for fun and games, alerts you when danger is around the corner, loves you no matter what! A friend indeed.

My sincere condolences Eric. I know how much your family means to you.

Thanks guys.

It's sad coming home in the evening and not having him lying outside on the grass waiting for me to come home. I miss that excited look and sparkle in his eyes as he used to jump up and run toward me, wagging his little stump of a tail. Having the other two dogs certainly makes it easier, but I still have that lump in my throat when I thinkl of little Rusty.
