Sani Pass

Post by Toppie4x4 »

Nice - I was there end of April some years back, no snow, but it was 1/2" cold then already!

Time for another visit soon, before it's no longer a talking point.

Nice!

Never done it in the snow, would still like to at some point, but it's one of those bucket-list items that always seems to end up low on the priority list for some or other reason. ;-)

I did not see any road works but according to our guest house owner the Chinese are busy inside Lesotho, only a matter of time before they start with Sani. I recon it is going to be a couple of years to complete. Another interesting point is the Lesotho Toyota taxis, they are all 4x4 (sorry did not take any pics.) apparently you cannot registered them in SA

Sal beslis weer soontoe gaan. Die plaas is 40km vanaf Sani Pass SA border kant. Dan is dit 8km tot bo, vat jou so n uur tot bo.

We camped there a few years ago, stunning place, but beware, lock everything up at night, we were robbed.
They took only the food, left pots, cups, plates and that sort of thing
Hopefully they have upgraded the security.
