If you've been married long enough it will have happened to you a few times. If you don't have somewhere to hide the bag, the last thing you want to do is to hold it by the straps and appear to be comfortable with it - rather grab the whole thing or the 'body' of the bag in one hand in the most manly fashion you can manage, and for heavens sake don't cock the elbow, let the arm hang slack.
