Brakkenjan is dead!

Post by JohanM »

So toe rol ek my bakkie vanmiddag op n rustige ry uit na die reen.

Dank net die Here dat ek niks oorgekom het nie behalwe skraap merke op my regter skouer. Verder niks nie. Wonderwerk.

According to Johan there is some chassis damage as well, how bad I don't really know, maybe things will look up after the initial shock & weewee'd off - ness.

Been there, still recovering from my accident just over a week ago...like told you over the phone...hang in there boet!! A scrape is far more comfortable than getting hit by airbags!! ;-) Give it a few days and look at that chassis again, maybe it ain't so bad...

Towbar is skeef agter.

lekker groot voertuig. HANDIG as ons 5 mense ry ...

maar off road is hy NET daai bietjie te laag. En die pakplek is net te min ....

As julle drie mense is jy gaan jy daai bakkie se spasie MIS op n trip.

en tog HOU ek van daai Prado :)

Just an update here.

The vehicle has been written off. Chassis was bent on the left side leg of the chassis. A lot more damage that what was portrayed in the images. Was sad to let the vehicle go but it is time for a new project. Im more at peace knowing not a lot can be used from my beloved truck and it hasnt been stolen and butchered. SO i have let it go and has kept all the memories.

This was my 1st 4x4 I bought. Owned it for almost 13 years. A lot of memories have been created and also I have learned so much about 4x4ing, camping, overland travel and maintenance and modifications.

I will be collecting my replacement Toyota soon... :yahoo:
