Post by GeorgeJvR »

Morning to all.

Seems like my 2.7 will have a new home by this weekend....

I'm looking for a SFA running Diesel motor

Please give me your feedback on the pro's and con's of a Diesel SFA
2.4 Diesel as standard.............To slow and under powered
2.8 Diesel non Turbo ?????
2.8 Diesel Turbo???????
KZ-TE engine conversion????????
2.5 WL TDI Ford / Mazda ??????

Did you have one previosly? or do you currently have one?

Juan
I remember speaking to you before, you mentioned gear ration...
I am not to fond of 33" tyres so want to stick to 31" what will the best ratio be?
Fuel consumption in town? Cruising speed on the open road?...
Please give me more detail if you don't mind?

I did the first 2.5 tdi conversion 7 years ago, the 5.5 is a high revving diesel, it performs better than the KZTE, but the KZ wins on low down torque. The best ratio for the SFA with 31" tyres is 4.11 for the Ford and 3.77 for the KZTE. They are std "off the shelf" ratios.
I have done both a few times and i run a KZ at the moment, but for outright performance for the least money, the Ford wins.

Ek kyk na die volgende;
Brandstof verbruik
bykomende modifikasies

Sleep n brakha off road trailer en tops so 90km/h. Opdraandes hardloop. Hy. My diesel laat gaan vir R6k (give away) pryse gaan tot so R12k.
