F_D. This is a question for you.
How do you store a 2 way radio when not in use? Do you leave it on charge or do you Charge it full then store it or do you run it flat and then store it?

Re: Handheld Radio`s Battery Live?
Keep it charged, but if you only want to use the radio in, say, a month's time, give it another 'refresher' charge the night before. The charger will regulate the charge and modern batteries do not build a "memory" like the older ni-cad batteries did. Most portable radio batteries charge in some 3-4 hours with a rapid rate charge and then this reverts to a trickle charge when the battery is approaching a full charge.
It is important to note that one should not transmit with the radio whilst it is in the charger, as this could cause the charging voltage to rise and thus blow the radio.
