Because the tub is utterly useless in most cases! Especially in the bush! Also my tray is way tougher looking!

You can certainly load more and easier on a tray and it's less prone to getting damaged. A more rugged option for sure.
A load-bin with canopy does have some other advantages though - more secure, provides better dust / weather protection and more convenient access than a tarp in wet conditions. With a rack on the canopy you can gain some load space to make up vs a tray but at the expense of COG.
