I finaly own my very first Hilux

Post by Strada »

Hi guys. Here is my first Hilux that i own now. It had a tough life on my fathers farm in Barberton, but im fixing it up nicely now. I must admit that i am very amazed at how nicely it drives after 303000km of farm roads, and tar roads. Sorry the pic did not load but here it is. It is a 2700i 4x2.

Looks like it's in pretty good nick .... doesn't look like you'll have to do too much to her!  ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Thanks guys. I have to replace the complete front suspension including steering, and i removed the propshaft today and i will send it in on Monday for an overhaul. I'm getting all the parts for the suspension on Monday, so then it's going to be some long hours under the chasis. I love working on cars so i'm looking forward to repairing it.

Congrats! OOOOMS is totally correct. My 1999 SRX 4x4 has 470000 on the clock, and still running smoothly!! Minor repairs, and renovations keep her like that!! Enjoy
