Newbie - Nomad7

Post by Nomad7 »

Good day

I have just bought my first hilux 3.0 D4D AT 4x4 last week and I'm looking forward to learning about offroad driving.

Right now I'm still getting used to driving such a high vehicle :-)
I have had the occational experience in 4x2, maily Hilux and Nissan Sani but never a 4x4.

Where is the place place to go for a course on how to drive my vehicle offroad as I plan to go to Tofo and Ponta de Ouro in March.

Thank you all in advance for your replies...

Regards
Ronald

Ronald, do you need accredited training or do you want a place to play and practice?

Thanks guys

Bosvark is quite close to me. Will try it out.

I do not need accreditation... I assume this is for competition?

I just need to be able to get myself out of tough situations when I go on offroad trips. Nothing hectic as yet :-)

You will require accreditation in the near future, so best is to do the 1 day beginners course then you have the paper

Accredited course is not only for comps, just to clear that up. It is used for driving an eco sensitive area.

Okay Ronald, I spoke to Jan (Bosvark). The price is R1250 for the day and you get your certificate at the end of the day. He said you can just give him a call and set a date if you are interested.

Cheers.
