Hi, what fuel should I be putting in? 93 or 95?

I used 95 in my 2000 3.4

I would think that 93 would be recommended at your elevation (thinner air, less oxygen) but also agree with the use of 95 octane if you get better performance. However, if it 'pings' under load with 95 then definitely drop to 93.

The results of a dyno test between the two fuels up there would be interesting. I know it's not possible with the standard ECU (all values are factory set) but if it were chipped and you were able to manipulate the fuel delivery on a dyno, then theoretically you should be able to get the same power with slightly less consumption on 95 octane.

Use 95. It makes a difference after 3/4 tanks of fuel. Also mine started better hot or cold with 95 in the tank. I just felt mine was much smoother all round with 95 in the tank. I could do 650 on a 90l tank of fuel with 95.

Anything less i battled to get more than 550 on a tank.
