What size tyres does the new truck have? And the old one?

changing from 30'(245) to 31'(265) will see a drop of 1km/l at least...

Gert, Is a simple drivers door auto up just a matter of changing the switch or does it also involve some high tech electronic bits? Unfortunately it involves some "high tech" electronic. Toyota used a slider switch to operate a small timer circuit with a overload trip to stop the window. ...

Ek is op die nippertie om myne te doen, het net 'n klein foutjie gemaak met die koop van die ratkas(4Y met KZ bellhousing...) N1 is nie noodwendig die goedkoopste nie! Shop rond, jy sal verbaas wee...

Hi Martin, Don't own a 2.7, but heard that on the pre-facelift models the are two pipes on the inlet manifold that can be changed around that will help with power and economy. A chip should add a few kw's. BUT you run on 31 inchers? Now those are very economy-unfriendly devices! Or if you really nee...

Strip out the speedo, don't turn back the clock :twisted: , at the back, about in the centre, there is a little hole; right below/above it there is a screw. Undo this screw and insert into hole. Timing light, she's gone...

My beloved 'lux is leaking oil - again! Two weeks ago I had to replace the clutch due to a gearbox seal leaking. Sommer replaced the crank and rear gearbox seals(Good quality NOK seals) aswell, while we where at it. Now it leaks again. Seems that there are some oil on a 12-15mm oil pipe from the tur...

Standard VW /Golf/Jetta carb, Midas/Autozone +-R700.

Apparantly it is an excellent conversion, more fuel effiecient, way more power, ag, sommer net lekker, I heard.
