Also not a fan but have painted them aluminium in the past. The hi-heat paint in orange tin from Midas looks good and gives a nice clean look.

Ben, IIRC, the W series box was only used on the SFA models. The IFS models came out with the 'big box' - or G series. Probably the same in the Vigo shape.

Sadly not Andy. But have just re-plumbed the whole set-up to allow for this in future. Just waiting for the PVC weld to cure then we'll give it a test. Had to cut off an end cap and stick the hose inside to clear the sand build-up. Should be sorted now. I'll keep you posted tomorrow at the YEGTG at ...

Thanks gents. I've been using the same filter sand for 8 years now and by using many of the methods of filter maintenance as mentioned, the sand is still good. Thanks Chris. Those kinda guys I like doing business with. Will give them a call in the morning.
In the meantime, I've used some Pattex Quickset to see if that'll work. Will leave to set overnight and see if it'll hold.
I'ts on the suction side so hoping it'll work.

Filter sand has begun blowing back into the pool. Emptied out the sand and disovered one of the laterals at the bottom of the suction side had broken off. I managed to get the broken threaded piece out of the fitting so need to get a replacement. Where can I buy a lateral from without having to buy ...

Aaaaah! Steve! You here too :D: Somebody didnt want to buy them so I had to build a vehicle to fit them :taunt: I test fitted a set of thse rims but they didn't clear the calipers and fitting spacers behind the 10" rims would have made it wider than it is long. Glad you found a home for them. ...

The ISC/ICV valve will certainly use water temp to work properly. The colder the motor, the more 'help' it needs.

Those filters are not that expensive and only need changing every 50k kms so I'd just replace it. Any HP inline filter will do the trick - it doesn't have to be identical so shop around.
