I would suggest that you check your dual battery installation. Sounds more like there is a problem with the installation. 70 Amp alternator is more than capable to charge both batteries.

The previous owner of my KZTE have replaced the steel plate with 50 x 6 mm flat bar spaced 5 to 7 mm apart, welded it onto the two beams. Finished it off on the sides with 8 mm round bars.

F_D I borrowed your pic to show the 2 main beams that the flat bar was welded onto.

What if you support the long bolt with a sleeve? Drill the bottom hole big enough for the sleeve to go through and press against the top of the chassis. That way you will not damage the chassis.

Yes you will be able to use the same switch. You will just have to add a extra button to change from “auto to manual” up and down.

The current switches will still be used. They will give the signal to the new controller board and the new controller board will operate the existing system.

Gert, Is a simple drivers door auto up just a matter of changing the switch or does it also involve some high tech electronic bits? Unfortunately it involves some "high tech" electronic. Toyota used a slider switch to operate a small timer circuit with a overload trip to stop the window.
