Dit lyk of jy daar druk verloor het. Alle turbo diesels se turbos blaas bietjie olie deur. Ek dink jy moet eers seker maak hy seel mooi daar voordat jy nou groot geld spandeer soos turbos. Ek is nie oortuig dat die die turbo is nie.

Hi Ricky If the ignition is too far advanced it can cause the engine to start running hotter. Just look out for that but if it is usually between 10 to 12 degrees BTDC then it should be fine. I am not a fan of the plug and play chips. The only way to do it in my opinion is a Dastek Chip Unichip Q4 that is properly installed and then calibrated to your specific vehicle on a dynamometer. I am not aware of one. I am also not convinced that it is always the best idea to do it. Your front brakes do by far the most of the work. That is why front disks and pads are always so much bigger than the rears. You do not want to end up getting the balance wrong and end up with locking rear brake...

That is insane. How can work done to the bakkie by a Toyota Dealership using Toyota parts which is a simple retrofit impact on the warranty. It is better strip the head and have the engineering shop re-seat the valves and check the valve guides (replace if necessary) seeing as you have already come this far. Also fit new valve stem seals.

I am not that familiar with the 4Y but I have done it on other engines in the past. Like Andy says, the weight of the whole assembly can make it difficult to manipulate.

Yes it probably means the aluminium is still good. Don't remove any of the aluminium by sanding it.

Die pompie is definitief al wat jy hoef te doen. As ek injectors vervang het dan pomp ek net eenvoudig die pompie tot hy moeilik word om te druk. Hy vat 'n paar swaaie om te start.

Ek moet sê ek het geen verskil agter gekom met die Wynns in die tenk nie. Die elke injector het 'n unieke calibrering wat in die ECU van die bakkie vasgelê moet word. Ek het die sagteware om dit te doen.
