Pieter, I am as lazy as you. keep them on but have a look at each obstacle if there is someone who can drive in front of you, if it looks to difficult just bail out.

You don't want to damage the tents or worse before your trip....

Nog so paar van Swakop, daarna het ons na Walvisbaai gery om op 'n boot uit tek gaan vir die oggend, en toe by duin 7 'n bier gaan drink, hulle het op die dag klomp 4x4's daar gehaad en leker speelgoed.

So after our stay at Torra we headed down to Swakop for a couple of days, we managed to find a camping spot at Tiger Reef.

The next day we moved on, we where heading to Torra Bay :yahoo: , so down to Opuwo to get supplies, and then we got on to the C43 gravel road that would take us through Otjomatemba Pass, Palmwag and into Skeleton Coast National Park via Springbokwasser Gate. From Ruacana Falls we attempted to go up to Kunene River lodge and up to Epupa Falls via the Cunene 4wd trail but the rain made it impossible. We could not even make it to Kunene River Lodge and ended up turning around and settling in at another lodge, I forgot the name but will find it.

And so it was time to move on, we hit the road to Ruakana, it was a long day so we checked in at Ruacana Eha Lodge for the night, and on to the falls,

Apparently they had a fault on one of the turbines so they we got to see the falls in flood.

Sorry for the slow progress on the trip report, I am the only one in office :crazy:

Here is that last ones of Ngepi, the showers is quite something.

I will definitely give Ngepi 10 out of 10, the people is very friendly and they have a very nice setup :thumbup:

So still at Ngepi, we met up with some local guys that worked at the lodge, had a couple of drinks and the next moment one of the guys mentioned there is a 1meter crock in a dam that they had to remove, so off we went crock hunting @ 1:00 in the morning... :shock: :shock: :shock:

Here is the photo of the "multy plug" I put together, had it for a while. Just had to get it back from my toppie.

It has got 4 Hella plugs, and the Volt/Amp meter. It is only for the fridge, and some LED lights. :thumbup:

So, lekker gemors aangejaag, EK het die naweek die roof rails van die tuna af gehaal en die roofrack op gesit. Voor ek myself kon kry draai ek een van die skroewe se kop af :wacko:

Just keep an eye on rain fall closer to time, Hunters can become a real nightmare, becomes a flood plane. We are planning a very similar trip (just in reverse and including Vic falls) for January... Airfilter is replaced at 30 000 km. on 20 000 km I got my bakkie back with MUD in the air filter box .... NOT happy ... on the flip side - check the gearbox and transfer case - they replaced these fluids on the 40 000km service. jip, all oils including diff oil was changed, and even the aircon air ...
