Last weekend I fitted the front leaf springs and shocks. ( no pics yet) :shh: They also lifted the chassis by 50 mm. Today I sanded the back doors and under coated them. Next weekend I will do the front doors, then finish them together.

Did not do very much today. Repaired the long range petrol tank and fitted it. Refitted all brake pipes and steering box.

I am not sure Andy. I bought the set with new shocks from some ou for R1000 about 2 years ago. Have not had time to fit them before now. He was on the forum, said the set up was too hard for his liking and fitted something else. So we will see what they feel like, I am not too worried about being to...

Today I stripped the chassis and cleaned it up with a wire brush and sanded all rust spots to bare metal. Under coated it with MS5 primer and painted it with stone chip. Still need to do underneath. Fitted new second hand rear leaf springs and new shocks. Will do the front next weekend. the front sp...

Got the engine mounts finished today. cleaned up the chassis and undercoated it with MS primer. Just the front part of the chassis, will still do the rest.

Any fundies out there that can help with lost keys for a Yaris. Toyota say that everything has to be replaced, the ECU and all elso. Looking at about R 12 000.00. :shock2: :shock2:

Got the front section of the exhaust done today. Have connected it to the old back section and will take it in to finish it off when the truck is driveable again. My pipe bender is only for heavy duty pipe and cannot bend the rear section at home. Those 90 deg bends I had bent in town.Still waiting ...

Yes Dawie die parte raak skaars maar op die oomblik is hulle nog beskikbaar. Ek is nou naby 60 en die tyd dat die motor moet weer gedoen word is dit nie my probleem meer nie. My stief seun wat die trok gaan kry is ook baie goed met sy hande en dan kan hy maar doen wat hy will. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Well I have basically finished blocking and given a final coat of undercoat. There is still 2 small places that I am not happy with, but will sort them out when I flat to spray colour. I dont want to make you worry, but when I stripped my truck to do the overhaul now, I had a slight shudder on the clutch. When I removed the motor I found that the pilot bearing was not in place, it was wedged in the clutch plate so it could not have fallen out when I removed the motor. :shock2: :sh...
