i went thru this exercise recenlty. correct size is 668 / 668p - the "p" is apparently for the battery with the terminals on the correct side i called a couple of place for prices: Toyota varied from branch to branch - +-R1800 Battery Center (which apparently supplies toyota) - over R2000 ...

I've been eyeing the revo as well , and swambo been eyeing me :aggresive: i also thought about the 2.4. Specs alludes to a more than capable vehicle, even for towing.. at 400nm it should pull a fair load - but in real world... not too sure if will be able to pull a caravan over a pass at a decent sp...

to me it sound like alternator problem. Maybe start there for loose connections and maybe have alternator checked.

it's the old alarms, with the key and alarm seperate.

We have another corolla same model.
Could one take out alarm ECU from the one and put in the other?

I just want to test before spending R1800 on an aftermarket alarm and the problems turns out to be bad connection or busted relay

Only certain models got the spiral cable replaced as part of the airbag replacement.
The pre-2011 was not due for spiral replacement... or so i was told by Toyota.
Some members here did manage to get it right though. Guess depends on the branch you went to and how well you know the manager.

Thanks Andy. The what works for me part is what frustrating. Doc says bone erosion been ongoing for years now already, even before gout symptoms. So i can't really say what raising my acid level. And with so many exlusions mentioned in this post and all over the internet... i would end up eating dry...

It turns out that the pump is the same as for the KZTE. The original gasket against the engine block was a thin metal gasket with a thin rubber coating on either side and is very nicely made. With the replacement pump I got normal paper gaskets. The instructions in the pack said to coat the gaskets...

We havealos resorted to switching off appliances when scheduled load shedding was due... but after a few days of no load shedding at the advertised time slots, we just forgot about it. Indeed... IMHO... fitment looks better than the Revo infotainment system. That just looks slapped on as an afterthought. :surrender:
If you look at this installation, fits neatly into the mouldings, as if it was purpose built to be there.

There must have been something seriously wrong with your 4Y Hilux. Mine could do 110 in 3rd at 5000rpm.... i had two 4y's. One SA built and one import. Import one was knew, with less than 10000km on the clock. Both struggled up Sir Lowry's Pass hill. Flat ground, it was OK... but any hill... :frust...
