Checked my leafs last night... the left has a ser# CS008 FB and the right is CS008 FA. Both leafs have 5 blades each; same as Torro's setup...very weird indeed :wth: IMO they must be the right way around, as it is sagging towards the side with the highest mounting;swopping them would tilit the bakki...

I suppose the hand brake needs a little more umpf to brake a rolling vehicle. Just because it works on a level surface, it does not it will on an incline (I guess).

Maybe I ought to visit a Supa Quick on the way...I don't have the equipment to see if it brakes evenly.

I have the same problem with my LTD; mine is just on the driver's side. Also an OME lift underneath. :?: With 4 people inside it is sitting level If I grab the fender & lift it, it stays level, until I sit in it again. I think it could be the shock or maybe the leaf's need a tensioning. Haven't ...

The only thing that really concerns me about the SFA is the power & comfort on open road when doing long trips...
Consumption wise there doesn't seem to be much difference. Dunno so much about IFS as better investment, SFA's seemed to have maintained their value far better :?:

Maybe a tad better. If you are going to use the vehicle for day to day driving and play now and then, IFS is probably better option. But if you want better offroad ability SFA is the only choice :) I hear you... but ... this would be a third (weekend) vehicle so either way it won't be used for comm...

I'm with Dial Direct, no hassles with previous claim on Citi golf. Sent the tow truck, did the repairs & even handled the legal stuff (lady tried a law suit). Bit pricey though,currently R2300 odd, but that's house contents,specified stuff like cell phones plus the 2 Polo's on comprehensive.

With the new shape Hilux looming, it would make more sense to buy the D4D, but I still love the IFS shape :problem:

Hi What's a Transunion Report? Bundu, it is also referred to as an HPI. Basically you input the VIN number & it checks if the engine number matches, and verifies the year model. Also check if it is of "stolen interest" and it will list the enquiries done by banks/dealers (if any) etc ...

Here are the pics; dealer bought it at auction & did some work on it. Piet, the autotrader one you suggested is a bit dodge, saw it at the dealer (Inspectacar), 250 000 km+; looks like it worked hard; I can get a 2004 KZTE 4x4 with 250k on clock for R149 950, body work also taken a beating though.

Hello All,

Not a 4x4 owner yet...might own a 2003 3.0 KZTE 4x4 (all I can afford). looking at buying one with 136k Km for R149k. Still wanna haggle over the price as it has the 4x2 steel rims with crappy tyres & not the original alloys.
