So the rails is on, I had to buy the brackets that will go between rails and the roof rack, a bit expensive R670 for 4 but I am not going to try and make a bracket, the rail is on the same curve as the roof so to get the rack level and straight will be a challenge. Also did the Pela to Vioolsdrift route . Was amazing. We went solo it was part of our trip to nambie.

Why only a day trip to Vic Fals?

Try and stay over one night. The rafting there is really fun, plus a walk to the falls. It's expensive in Zim but worth it.

Oor die 120 000km met oorspronklike koppelaar, nog geen probleme. Ek het al swaar gesleep, in sand duine Gery en baie 4x4.

No suck luck on the Vigo I'm afraid , wiper motor well hidden behind some plastics. Lots of reports of the wiper motor failing on the Vigo.

Please don't waste your money, total BS concept. The extra load on the alternator to drive the electric blower will
Nullify any extra gains (if any at all) by the blower.

Depends I have a Garmin and a Tom Tom. In and around Jhb I find the Tom Tom to be much better, but I find the best to be Google maps on my iPhone .

For Neighboring countries and offroad you will need T4A that only works on Garmin last time I checked.

My complaint re the dipstick - sometimes mine gets stuck - like in pulling with all the power my muscular body allows before it comes out and thats a lot of power :-)

The level should be between the two indentations on the dipstick. You cannot simply full the engine with a certain amount as specified after an oil drain as you will never get all the oil out of the engine. If you do this you will overfull the engine. I think the idea that they dont want anybody recovering on towbars, or bumpers etc,. My Standard Vigo has recovery points in the front (factory welder to the chassis) and at the rear I have in the bumper (non standard), but you can always attached the recovery equipment directly to the chassis. Ek het so 20 000km terug Hankcook Dynopro opgesit. Ek moet se vir die prys dink ek nie daar is `n ander band wat naby hulle kom nie. Dink ek het R10 000 vir 5 x 16" bande uitstekende waarde vir geld. Nog nie `n enkel pap band of enige probleme met hulle ondervind nie.

Even fully loaded the bakkie stands very level, but I do have a winch up front that may balance things out. I fitted Front runner load bars on the canopy with 75mm mounting because I have a SS table that slides in between the canopy and RTT. I have travel at least 20k km with this setup through Nami...

Tyres and suspension are important upgrades, but they would have to wait IMO. You can still go off road with that suspension and those tyres, but what's the sense of taking it off road when it's just going to get hurt ...... Pine is te sag vir net olie veral of geweer kolf. Oil werk goed op harde houte soos teak.

Vernis die pine en skuur met staal wol om dit `n "mat look" te gee.
