I changed distributors on Bulldog a number of years ago, and as methodical as I was, I reinserted the dizzie 180° out of phase. Took ages to get everything right again, but once I had rotated it another 180°, all was well! I think I did post the experience somewhere here but of course I'll never fin...

Interesting, Louis. I had a fuel leakage from one of my injectors which concerned me because the chances of obtaining a new injector are pretty scarce. Luckily, in my case we just changed a rubber ring on the injector and all is good again.

You need to take photos of the resistors if possible, the colour bands indicate the resistors' value. If the resistor overheats and discolours, these colours would be hard to identify. An orange band might become brown in such a case, resulting in an incorrect reading of value.

Possible faulty sensor. Can you still make out the colour bands of the resistors?

Just be careful the new ECU doesn't get fried as well.

Licences are no longer available from ORRA because neither this forum nor the club are members of ORRA. Hence, ORRA will not be able to assist you in that respect. The Cluib Licence here is an absolute bargain - I know what these individual licences cost the club each year!

EFI does indeed make a most worthwhile improvement to a 2200's performance. Bulldog was always hesitant on inclines but since the conversion, I no longer need to drop a gear on the slightest incline. Fuel performance is slightly improved at around 6.5 - 7.5 km/litre. When I had the original Nikki Ca...

Suggest you rather consider an EFI conversion to the 2200. It made a world of difference to Bulldog!
