Mine is also Spitronics. My my gearbox and ignition units were sent back to them last month and everything was upgraded to the latest level. My oke who's dealing with Spitronics seems very impressed with their back-up and knowledge.

I haven't done it or seen it happen, but my uncle reckons that's what he used to do.
He says the sand needs to be wet and compacted, and the ends of the tube welded closed.

To me protection around the front wheel arches is pretty pointless. Firstly, I have done some absolute insane things in a 4x4, and I've NEVER damaged the front fenders while 4x4ing. Secondly, those bars like the ARB ones, actually offer very little protection in my opinion, and due to the shape, run...

He was lodged against the tree as you can see in the pics, with a slight dent in the fender. The hill is so steep and loose, there was no way that hilux could pull away on that hill, and to prevent damage we could either winch him up, or pull him up, and the cruiser with it's 33" MTR's and doub...

Not really the hilux's fault :roll:
The hilux slid sideways into the tree and bashed the fender.....it was up to my cruiser to save him....the next vehicle, a disco 1, did the exactly the same thing.

Justin, as far as I know, Pitbulls are only made in PE and they only come in one size. The reason why there is a shortage is because the manufacturer only has one moulding machine and either this machine might be broken or the demand is too high.

I also use Invertor Pro.....works very well for special purpose machine design.

Which hilux are you looking for, some designer friends of mine where involved with the Vigo Hilux body line and I can probably get hold of that in 3D.

WITH thermostat, without is a very bad idea....firstly the aluminium block must run at a constant temperature to prevent the possibility of cracking, secondly, the ECU works on temp as well and if it cools down too much the engine management will get confused and cause problems.

Sounds great, I recently fitted the same radiator and I have the same expanion tank, so it should work for me as well. I just need to get the right thermostat, I've given up on my local Toy stealer to help me on that one......my conversion was supplied without a thermostat in the engine :shock:

What is the diamater of the front hub on a SFA hilux, my wheel spacer in the pic has a 110mm hole, and judging by the gap, the hub looks like 105mm, but need someone to confirm this please.

Firstly, those seats are not from any car, they are from Autostyle....they've got the holes for a 4-point harness as well.
Secondly, the seats are mounted on an elaborate steel frame made by the guys who did my conversion.....so it's not just a matter of drilling some holes.

I've spoken to Justin and I'm also going for the E36 leather seats. I can get the a of front seats for R1K from a local BMW breaker. I'll probably go for black or grey as my lux has the grey interior. Then I'll buy a matching rear seat and get the hilux rear bench covered with the leather from the B...
