HI Allan Quick question the 4y fitted to ther CAM inyathi van have you had any experiance with the engine as it is also a china motor with fuel injection. The BM's do it to and it is sulphur that you are smelling and the smell is a by product of the chemical reaction that happens under verious driving conditions usually in the upper temp range of the cats. I hope you took it back Johan funny you had a problem as a friend of mine has 2 Hi Aces running similar units and one has done 300 000km on one in 4 years and the other 250 000 with no problems.

Hi Rich fitted one a few weeks ago works great :!: it is all self contained and there are only 2 wires which need conecting the ignition wire and the tachometer wire and it also comes with new plug wires

Um just a thought Eric maybe the noise is comming from one of the brake drums jack up first one side then the other and spin the wheel and listen maybe one of the springs or the ajuster has come loos happened to my van thanks to some idiot working on the brakes :evil: :evil: :evil: it shook loos on ...

Binnie I cant remember as I made up the plates so long ago I will check tomorrow and take a pic or 2. By the way I must just say the transmition is so much quiteras the diff prop allignment is much straighter

I gained about 30mm lift which isnt much but makes a big diffrence to the looks she is now from base of wheel rim to wheel arch she is now 785mm

I think its always better to stick to the brand I also toyed with the idea of fitting a BMW M52B28 328i 154kw or M54B30 330i 170kw. However I changed my mind as its not a Toyota motor I think when my ship comes in I will fit a 2.7i motor with the Toyota electronics.

Hi Guys Just a update with my van I fitted the longer shackles which I made myself cost there of R0 :mrgreen: I used 10mm plate with 14mm bolts and fiber lock nuts and I had sleaves made to go over the bolts to match the shakle bushes. Hi Guys Ever since I have had my van she has had what sounds like a gearbox noise in 4th gear only from about 1900rpm-2500rpm and this only happens under load up hill and she does not always do it I have had her for about 10 000km now and the noise has stayed the same mean it has not got worse. Has anyone got any ideas on how to make sure that all the little linkages on the side of the carb are all conected up correctly Andew kindly sent me some pics so I can see there are a few problems. Any ideas would be great as here in P.E. know one seems to be any good with carbs
