10km / l for a SFA is very good.
Compared to the petrol cousin who gets about 5 - 6 km / l...

The 10km / L is D4D range.. just that kidney damage though

Can one claim back the money spent on this type of trail and error repairs?

Eish... that sounds like ALOT to do to change the engine.
Not to mention scary... changing the sump with lower capacity than the 3.0 was designed for.

I think i was with Cartrack before... then i asked about payouts... Since i also had insurance on the vehicle... so does Cartrack and insurance pay me out... Nope apparently the CarTrack payout goes to the insurance company... So you pay the heavy excess, and they still get the money from the tracki...

OK, just checked with him, and after the major transplant of cooling system, he reporting problem solved.
So i'm guessing it was just a case of needing some major TLC.

not sure if that a general problem with the surf, but it gave him grey hairs
