Hi Janus, All headlight must be adjustable both vertically and horizontally. It just gets confusing at times which screw does what.

Perhaps you can post a pic of the adjustment scews so that other users with the same model vehicle can benefit from your learning curve. :winkx:

If you don't often load it then an easy solution is to load a couple of sandbags right at the back, not ideal for fuel economy though because you're lugging extra weight. Won't have a big impact but over time it amounts up - motor also works that little bit harder through it's life. Might be better ...

Actuator motors are prone to getting all 'gunked up' inside. Water ingress messes up the grease and over time it tends to solidify. This may or may not be the cause of your problem, but it's worth while to remove the actuator, strip, clean and re-pack with fresh grease.

I make it 360° on the crank, i.e. TDC exhaust instead of TDC compression ... same thing as 180° out on the cam and pump (cam / pump = 360° and crank = 720° in a cycle). Apparently his timing marks are lining up as they should. Cam and pump are both 360° per cycle so that's why I termed it as 360 out...

It's a 4 stroke motor, i.e. 2 up and 2 down which means that there are 2 TDC positions per cycle, one TDC compression and TDC exhaust....

Its a common problem with the motorized actuators, especially if the vehicle has done some wading. I imagine that the units should be removed and serviced periodically, also making sure that the seals are in good order.

Second belt is also a V belt. Not sure if you will still be able to get pulleys from Toyota, doubt it.
