Do the easy stuff first. Drain transfercase oil and check for metal bits. Refill with oil and check. This is the most basic of checks to do. Toyota sells their own competitively priced synthetic transfer case oil. You will need 1.6L 75w90 GL5 oil.

Ek gebruik gewoonlik 220 ohm as my feed voltage in die 5V range is. Onthou altyd V=IR. Die arduino se analoog inputs wil ook nie meer as 5V sien nie. Previous owner replaced head. Mistreated it too. 4xlux gave it some TLC.
Put in a 74 deg C thermostat (the 2004-2005 came with it as standard AFAIK), a egt gauge and intercooler. No more worries.

Mervyn, did you grease the cable or did you use graphite powder? I find it difficult to believe that its the oil from the gearbox. Die rede hoekom daardie relays duurder (nie belaglik soos in jou geval nie) is omdat hulle 'n stewige hoeveelheid amps kan hanteer. Daardie glow plugs behoort meer as 30A te trek vir 'n kort tydjie.
