IFS window fault

I recently became the proud owner of a 2000 Kzte D/cab 4x4. It needs some love and I am working my way through all the small niggles. The current challenge is the front passenger window. It was working 100% and then one day stopped working all together. I did check the switch and it seems perfect. W...

Regarding slip on a wet road, remember a bigger tyre has even more momentum and it is quite noticeable in the wet when you need to stop suddenly.

For the silicone oil used in the viscous unit: You don't have to buy the expensive stuff at Toyota.

Visit your local hobby shop, the R/c cars use the same oil in their shock absorbers. Just look fir the correct CST. Will cost around 1/10th of the price Toyota charges.

Welcome Sid,

Unfortunately what you want to achieve is not possible - to gain some power and use less fuel? It is not possible - you must choose one.

If you can not find a dyno to tune your car better then leave it well alone as a badly/incorrect tuned chip WILL break the engine.

5L is VERY slow and low on power. WL, Kz, 5VZ, Lexus, etc. all is too expensive for the value of the vehicle and then you have a bastardised vehicle with no secondhand value which is very hard to insure.

Either live with the underpowered engine or sell and buy something more powerful.
