Re: Help with Hilux 2400d front brakes

No idea probably a 8 or 10 mm. More likely an 8. If you are going to buy new keys I would consider getting the "socket" type keys that fit onto a ratchet. That is to say that you actually have a socket wrench set. They are much easier to use than trying to lever the allen key with a ring s...

Re: Help with Hilux 2400d front brakes

Those silver bolts visible at the top and bottom should take an Allen key. Just make sure that it is a good tight fit and that there is no rubbish inside the hole preventing the Allen key from engaging all the way. The process is that you compress the piston first and then undo those two Allen bolts...

Nogal waar.

With a diesel it can only really be the diesel supply but it is strange as you should be getting the diesel warning light if the pressure in the common rail drops. A dirty filter will also give you the diesel warning light. Possibly a faulty sensor somewhere but that should normally give you a fault...

Spigot bearing sits in the end of the crank-shaft. The end of the input shaft (into the gearbox) is machined to fit inside the spigot bearing thus supporting the end of the input shaft. It is stationary when the input shaft is turning with the crankshaft ie when the clutch is released and turns when...

No it won't move if the brakes are binding and it means the brakes are tight even when the handbrake is released. This could be due to sticky/rusted handbrake cables or handbrake linkages inside at the brake shoe assembly.
