uuhm, Buffelsvlei has been sold to Kobus Botha and he now runs it as a cattle farm. Not so sure if you can camp there anymore.

Lots of game farms around but not sure where you can camp.

Hang af van die applikasie. Vir huishouding is 12V nie goed nie omdat sy tegniese spesifikasie nie goed vergelyk met 2V nie. 2V laai en ontlaai op beter kurwes. Dus, hoe laer die spaning van die sel, hoe meer effektief. Aan die anderkant, hoe groter die spanning van die inverter, meer effektief.

Victron is the best. Dutch company that started life producing power untis for ship at sea.

Long long history of supplying into Africa. Not as fancy as the American and Chinese counterparts...more expensive and WAY MORE ROBUST.

I only use Victron in my installations. You cannot go wrong.

Charlton, I think you are making a mistake. Your vehicle has at least an 80L tank, so you will get just over 8. Which sounds reasonable. 10 sounds amazing but I think too good to be true. Sorry.

A deep cycle SHOULD only be discharged 50%, you CAN discharge it more but it WILL get damaged.

Heat pumps:
a. noisy
b. maintenance contract - needs to be serviced yearly
c. three year warranty
d. no more rebate

I can supply you with a technical analysis of why you should not go for heat pump nor gas geysers...

Lorentz PS600 is not a pool pump per se bu they do manufacture pool pumps.
It is not smart to convert normal DC appliance to solar - better to purchase solar pump.

You can contact KG Elctric in Kya Sands JHB as they are the importer of Lorentz.

It has happened twice now. When I fill it up (double tanks, gravity feed) and lightened my bank balance by some margin, there is EXCESSIVE pressure build up. It releases through the breather pipe on the carbon filter fitted after the fuel filter in the engine bay or I can manually release it by slow...

What is the purpose of this filter? Some sort of carbon filter...can I bypass it?

It is the big black box like filter fitted after the normal fuel filter.

Die ander manier wat ek gesien het, is om die oorspronklike sensor te behou maar weld net 'n duim lange stukkie extra pyp in voor jy weer dies sensor terugsit en siedaar, selle ding as 'n dummy sensor...

Mini sensors is nie nodig nie. En hulle is duur.
Sny die cats uit en start die kar...as die engine lig nie aangaan nie is jy reg...anders sit dan die mini sensors in (spaar jouself baie geld).

die engine is andersins 100%. Na 350 000km lyk daai pistons splinternuut (en ek het 'n swaar voet).

Ek gaan die rook uit die een ry en op 1 000 000 sal weer 'n V6 koop :D:

The temp gauge will only go up once the radiator is empty or not circulating any water at all. Anyway, motor is open and heads look great. In fact, visually, head gasket looks fine (must be a minute crack/leak). Head will get skimmed in any case. And to add to my woes, clutch also need to be done (g...

Must say, after 350 000km that engine looks brand new inside. Pistons look great so does everything else. Head gasket has no visible blow-out and heads look great. Correct. A 15w PANEL works adequately if it is installed with a trickle charger. However, if no trickle charger, you will be pulling your hair out soon enough. You can always be safe on over spec of panel as the regulator will do its job. Most people go wrong here.

Yes. No problem. However, you will find the 15W too light if the battery goes somewhat flat for whatever reason.

We prefer using a 30W and 5a charge controller. Keeps it nice and full at 14.2V

Dit sal later erg genoeg word sodat dit ook onder normale ry voorkom. Maak seker jy hou ekstra water byderhand (ek het nogal lank so aangeploeter met 'n cracked head)

2005 model. 350 000km on the clock.

Yes, you can smell the exhaust gas in the coolant now, initially not. As mentioned, the temp never moved nor was it ever without water in the radiator.

The rpice of diesel is not regulated like petrol. They can charge what they want and you as the consumer can choose to fill up at the establishment or not. Follow George's advice...
