Identifying whether 4Y is Chinese, Korean or Japanese?
Hi There,
How do I know whether an engine is Chinese, Korean or Japanese. When I asked the salespersons at Gemini and Commercial, I get the standard answer - "Japanese, with all the salestalk - 3 month guarantee, no comebacks, taxidrivers love them, etc".
Kind Regards,
Jaco

Hi There,
There is a bit of play on the Hilux's rear diff. Sometimes, when you start to drive, the diff will make a "clank" sound. If the car is standing still, I can turn the driving shaft about 1/5th turn before it engages.
Is this serious?
