if you remove the pulleys from the front you can open the timing cover and look at them. as i said im my pm, the timing gears dont normally wear out unless a tooth in it breaks. more likely its a worn out drive in the dizzy and cam that causes bad timing. what exactly is wrong with your motor? what ...

best go to a alarm place and fit a system with them and maybe a R100 a month tracker like the netstar slueth etc for extra piece of mind.

redid the original 12r, but im contemplating a lex v8 or an 18r-g which i have lying at home.
bought another donor body that also hit 900000kms for the rebuild.

im new to the forum.
from durban, currently living in stellenbosch.
i used to maintain a fleet of taxis back in durban, so hilux and 4y etc is childs play to me.
i will offer my services for repairs etc on weekends.
