Re: The Ox Wagon Route

Hi guys. This report is coming along nicely, but it seem the only way I can post it here is to resize everything from the start, reload everything to photobucket again, etc. I.o.w. redo everything. That is a very big and time consuming job and this is December holidays so the chances of me doing eve...

Arctic Fortuner!

I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this when I was at Arctic Trucks - the new Arctic Fortuner. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z46/Trailrider_album2/4%20x%204/Arctic%20Truck/AF2tnn.jpg This model should be an important step forward for Arctic Trucks because of the huge market share the Fort...

Re: Posting Pictures Using An Image Hosting Website

Baie is ge"crop" so die hoogte verskil. Ek is...

Re: The Ox Wagon Route

Admin, the post only goes through when I tick "Disable BBCode".

Have a look at my post and see what in it is causing the problem?

Can you fix?

Re: The Ox Wagon Route

The Ox Wagon Route starts near Heidelberg in die Western Cape from where it crosses the Langeberg mountains via Gysmanshoek Pass into the Klein Karoo. Gysmanshoek Pass, or Plattekloof Pass as it was also known, was opened up in 1740 by the Trekboers (migrant farmers). It was well used and even menti...

The Ox Wagon Route

"It is, perhaps, not just the journey that counts, but also the road that is travelled. And it's not necessarily the high road or the low road that matters, but rather the story behind the road that's important." From early days a need for a link between the coast and the interior existed...

Re: Arctic Toyota

OK.

Re: Arctic Toyota

There's quite a bit of bodywork done to do this conversion. It's a LOT more than fitting flares. If you are in Knysna you should really visit their premises it's quite impressive. The fact that it does not seem like there's much done on the photos goes to show how well this conversion is done. Keep ...

Re: Arctic Toyota

Hi Mud Dog Of course there are several body modifications (talking Hilux now) including some modification to the A-pillar. Flares are color coded, new side-step, new mud flaps, speedo gets re-calibrated and the suspension is upgraded both front and rear (Koni in this case). Then of course new rims a...

Re: Arctic Toyota

I had that Hilux Extended Cab for a week test. I remember thinking to myself when I picked it up, "man, this is one good looking bakkie!". But when I parked it next to the Arctic version it seemed a bit bland all of a sudden!

Dagse!

Howdy! Just a quick intro. I'm from George in the Southern Cape and a product of a Hilux family. Learned how to drive in my dad's Hilux 2.2 diesel (column shift) actually. More into travelling by motorcycle, but have been exposed to 4x4 more and more recently. Being a motor journo I got to dri...
