Re: So we're building a smoker
Hi BV You said it - it depends if you are doing hot smoke or cold smoke. Hot smoke - think ribs, briskets, pork shoulder. Meat gets cooked in the heat and flavour from the smoke. Cold smoke is for bacon and smoked salmon. Here you want the smoke but NO heat and NO cooking. So you see some smokers wh...

How dirty is the air-filter ? I had it once and found that my air-filter was dirty (dusty roads ?) and i can only guess the lack of air was causing lower pressure/air density around impeller and that caused the whistling.

Hi Echoman and Hannes Can you explain why you prefer to use 500 ppm. I thought the logic was that higher sulphur fuel such as 500 ppm meant more rapid acidic (sulphuric acid) combustion buildup and that is why the oil changes were shorter than if you used 50 ppm ? Echoman you say that "50 and 1...

Check out this Raspberry Pi powered PV and energy monitoring system - that is if you have a grid-tie inverter.

With the rand/pound improvement it looks pretty good.
