What are the major costs involved in fitting the 7MGE motor :?:

Ron do you know what that sealant is called :?:
The reason I ask is that normal silicon comes in black and clear/white so I dont want to end up with the black silicon thinking it is the correct thing.

For a moment I even considered routing my diff breathers through one of the open holes and into the cab but wasn't sure how I could seal everything afterwards :?

Also check the rubber plugs mounted in the floor, under the carpet or floor rubber. I can definitely say I dont have any visible rust around the windscreen but I guess there could be some under the seals :|
Also have never had wet seats just the carpet behind the seats.

Yes Bretton, Kaspaas also has the leaky windscreen problem. I just silicon it up from time to time and it works. Just be careful not to overdo it with the silicon otherwise it looks really tacky.. :shock: :twisted: :shock: :roll: Had noticed a rather tacky black silicone job on my front windscreen ...

I haven't noticed this problem in my Hilux but it did used to happen in a Jetta I once owned. The problem I found there was that there was leaves and dirt blocking the drainage holes that prevented water from rising high enough to get to the top of the fire wall/bottom of windscreen. I have a gearmax and it seems to work just fine :D If I ever do have the problems mentioned here on the forum I will just do the one way valve conversion but so far I haven't needed to. I must say the simplicity of the gearmax appeals to me, usually when things are kept simple they are more reliable...

Probably under felt to keep the noise out like you say and definitely :!: not a good idea :idea: A guy I know in East London took his floor lining out and covered the entire floor with that thick silver rubbery type tape, I think its used for sealing gutters etc... can get it at most hardware stores...

Hmmmm!!! 80 bucks as apposed to say.. R500 for a compressor sounds like a good deal to me :mrgreen:
As long as there is no way it can damage the engine :?
It also seems to be a very simple set up so their is probably less that can go wrong with it making it more reliable than a compressor :)

Are you sure the fuel smell is from the air going into the tyre's?
Not exactly sure how the system works but is it possible that it is releasing a gas mixture from somewhere else and only using clean air to fill the tyre :?:

Hmmmm!!! so in the case of a steep uneven but windy uphill would it be better to engage diff lock or not :?:
Would the rear diff affect the steering a large amount :?:
Bearing in mind that Im talking about the type of hill that is steep enough so that its not a good idea to stop :idea:

Bulldog did this as well, when I first got him. Only when turning sharply, particularly over uneven ground. Turned out to be the front shock that had broken clean off its shaft. Just for future reference for anyone looking for the diff breather attachments this is what I found with relatively little hassle. The nylon pipe is very difficult to push on bit once on there is no way it is going to come off so you wont need any hose clamps. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm56...
