I think you need pressure sustaining valves and a level control valve. the success will depend on the volume pumped, pump character and topography.
you can plot the pipe line on Google earth and send to me.
Try to get details on the pump as well.

Better charging

Hi Guys,
I would like to cut out as much as possible losses between my alternator and the battery. I am thinking of installing a wire directly from the alternator to the battery. Which one do I use? The thick white one, or the thinner yellow one.

Alan, as jy n tafel reg gaarmaak is hy nie te bad nie. Jy kook hom amper soos n wille Makou. Groot pot met 2 Rooikrans stompies (nee Pieter, Sekelbos gaan nie werk nie). Baie water, 2 uie en n huisie knoffel. Kook tot die Rooikrans sag is, gooi die gans weg en eet die Rooikrans.

Personally, I think this is the best battery to buy. Just make sure your charging system can handle it. I believe they need 14 + volts to recharge properly.

I also think the voltage reg must have some form of current limiter, as the alternators does not seem to burn out that easily. I found that with too much current drawn, the voltage drops, at least on my system. Hi Andre, I don't know if the newer types of alternator have current limiting capability...

Eric, I am currently trying to recover the batt with the BX 2, I will report later. If you connect them in series, I suppose you then need a 24 to 12 volt controller? This might be a better option, as to properly maintain them in parralel, you would need a dc to dc charger for each battery in anyway...
