Yup, have been taking it to Kuilsriver prior to TV, but just couldn't take the traffic anymore. Also when they drop you at work, you 1st do a ride along dropping everyone from that area.

Still under warranty,so for now it will have to do.

Hi Ben, No I have not used them for services. Just buying the parts and they were again happy to give a good discount. I always service at Barloworld Tygervalley as this is close to my work.

Just for the other members, Imperial Toy at Cape Gate sorted me out and about R300 less than the 6 other dealers I phoned which all just stated the same (increased) price. What was shocking is that I replaced the filter about 3000kms (2,5months) ago and now looks like this already. Is this normal?....

Spoke to Donaldson and they confirmed they have the replacement filter and a different housing, but not a similiar housing as is in the vehicle now. I suspect dealers seems to be the only option @ +-R1300. Cant believe that there is no alternative/generic option.

Thanks Warrior. I have learnt in the meantime that the up and down when just going to the look-out point is the same road. So if not wanting to do the loops you will just contend with the steep downhill sections on the way down again.

Thanks guys, understood. At the moment I cant justify spending R1000's on a LED setup.
Was just wondering if the incandescents actually do make a difference on the standard 55W ones you buy in the shop.

@Scott: Agreed on not being too upset if one breakes a cheapie :)

55W spots - worth it?

Hi Guys

Is it worth fitting these old school (non-led) type spots or do guys mostly just do it for the look. Is there any real improvement in visibility at night?

Ones I saw said 55W 12V H3.

Had the same on my 2010 Fortuner. As normal told Toyota to check it at service and was found that injectors were the issue. Replaced under warranty. +-70k km on clock.

AutoQuip had an excellent special a few weeks ago and had them at R1850 fitted all incl.
If you VERY LUCKY they might still have. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Dankie vir die feedback. Ek het toe vir die Monroe Gas Magnums op die Tuna gegaan. Die rit as baie sagter en stamp nie so erg nie. Dit is wel 'n GROOT verandering in die bestuur van die voertuig. Dit voel asof daar baie meer beweging tussen die bak en die as is. Seker wat hulle "body roll"...

Thanks for that! Wow big difference! I have been noticing the exact same "under powered" feeling in the on my last 2 long drive trips (200 - 300kms). Everything else seemed fine, except that. 690 - 720km originally is already a lot in my books, I'm lucky if I get 660 and then the fuel ligh...

@antlo69: When you say HUGE difference. What are you referring to? More power felt, drop in fuel consumption?

I have been looking for an excuse to remove mine from Tuna, but just knew the minute I remove it something will hit the bonnet! LOL

Ek is opsoek na so n pin wat jy op 'n removeable towbar gebruik. My Fortuner het net met n lang bout en 3 nuts uitgekom. Redelik maklik om af te haal, so eks opsoek na so n pin wat ek dan 'n slot op kan sit.

Enige idees in CPT area?
Volgende is die spaarwiel....

Yes, perm 4WD, but when you lock the CDL (switch from H to HL) there is a light that comes on on the dash indicating this. From HL to LL lights up even more icons.
