Re: Decarbonising KZTE engine
My Lux's motor is now all nice and clean inside. The oil light started coming on intermittently when idling as soon as I accelerated it went off. Checked the oil was fine called the mechanic that was going to service it and he said bring it around to have a look. On the way it lost power on the high...

Decarbonising KZTE engine
Hi All I was approached by a gent at the car wash telling me of a product he has that will decarbonise my KZTE's engine. He says it is a fluid that is run through the fuel system by connecting it to inlet by after the filter. Won't tell me the product name because he has a connection in JHB that imp...

What started as universals has turned into a nightmare . Turns out the front diff pinion bearing is fried as well as crown wheel is missing a tooth. Anyone got contacts PE way for decent prices. Agent quoted R 6900 for crown wheel and pinion, Gemini R 5700 ex vat and courier cost.

Replacement universal joints
Morning
I have to replace the universals on my bakkie, the dealers quoted me R 1073.27 ex vat each for the rear and R 949.82 ex vat each for the front. Is there any suitable replacement for the genuine parts that is not going to break my wallet.
Thanks
Dave

Hi All I discovered my Lux's left outer cv boot has a small tear in it. A small amount of grease has come out, about a teaspoon full. My question is will it be ok to drive for a while. I need to do a 300 km round tomorrow all on tar road. Or should i rather park it and use the platkar? Thanks Dave

Hi
I just had my van repainted and it is very, very white at the moment. I am thinking of putting decals back on but the standard Toyota one's is a bit boring. Anyone got some examples of nice decals for an IFS?
Thanks

I bought my bakkie through Automark as well and when i got it, it was using a pint of oil a week. After a bit of forward and backward stories I found out it had broken rings and a hole burnt in one piston. They ended up overhauling it at their cost after I threatened to go to court about it because ...
