Re: IFS Lower Control Arm Bushes

Thanks Johann

I totally forgot about my previous post. I'll see how long these last for and will replace the back ones when necessary.

IFS Lower Control Arm Bushes

Hi Guys This is just a query regarding the replacement of the Lower Control Arm bushes on IFS Hilux. I spent most of Saturday replacing the ball joints and lower control arm bushes on my 2002 Hilux KZTE. Much better ride and was worth the exercise. What I just want to know is can the back bushes be ...

Re: abs not working

Hi Mandevu I had a similar problem with my KZTE ABS pump, which I think is similar to the 2.7. The actuators and controller piggyback on the pump itself. A new one was about R14k and I couldn't get a refurb / secondhand unit in the country. Eventually I found a refurb unit on E-bay and had it sent i...

Re: CONVERT 4X2 CONDOR TO 4X4?

Hi Schalk In many ways I agree with Mud Dog. I had a 4x4 Diesel Condor for many years. Initially the car was able to do what we wanted but after a while I found the lack of articulation slowly became a hinderance in more technical sections. The normal aspirated diesel could not be faulted offroad, b...

Help looking for second hand / recon ABS pump and ECU

Hi Guys I have been searching for a few weeks now and seriously need some advice. The ABS unit on our 2002 KZTE has popped and I really want to replace it. The stealers are quoting R14k, which is a bit steep for the moment. I can import a recon unit for R2k but want to see if there is any local pers...

Re: KZ-TE Electrical Problem

Hi Wayne

I had a similar issue, I lost dashboard and headlights as well though. Turns out it was the relay feeding power to circuits. Check if that kicks in when you swithc the ignition on.

Re: Toyota Condor

Traveler I had one of these amazing vehicles for a few years. It was always entertaining watching peoples faces as we trundled over most obstacles. In order of priority, changes I made 1. Tyres fitted were 215/75R15. They are the biggest that can fit in the wheel arch without rubbing. We initially h...

Re: Embarassing Hooter Problem

I stripped the column but it appears they have replaced the brushes with a ribbon cable in a housing.

The problem only seems to happen when the ignition is on. If it was the brushes would it not also happen when the ignition is off?

Thanks for the help I'll keep reading up where I can.

Regards
Don

Embarassing Hooter Problem

Hi Guys Bit of a puzzler. Recently my '02 KZTE has the hooter going off at the most inopportune moments. It appears the hooter goes off when I turn left (generally) or whent he car is bouncing around a bit. I've stripped the steering wheel and instrument cluster. Tried wriggling all the wires but no...

Re: DIY Roof Console

Thanks for the help guys.

I'll be looking at the plywood option or buying the pre-made mould that the boat building school does.

DIY Roof Console

Hi Guys

I'm looking at building my own roof console to house two radios in the distant future.

Considered various materials and fibreglass seems to be best option for complex profile.

I would appreciate if you could share your experiences / attempts at building a console.

Thanks
Donovan
