Re: Snorkel 2.4 GD6 4x4
I am happy to return by saying that Pieter and his team provided me with a great product. A snorkel for my 2020 Fortuner. The template was a 100% match. Fitment very easy. Here are some pics. I took my time prepping, buying the right tools and rust treatment. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2024030...

Snorkel 2.4 GD6 4x4
This post is actually directed at Pieter, but there is no e-mail to ask him. I am considering buying a snorkel for my 4x4 Fortuner, 2.4 GD6. But I see at the page where you buy it, it states it is only for the 2.8…. Does 4x4 Direct sell the 2.4 snorkel or is it the same as the 2.8? I’ve used Pieter’...

Hello, my 2008 Hilux 3.0 D4D 4x4 DC returned from it's 260km service. The mechanic said the steering rack and turbo will need to be replaced in the near future. Bushwackers is a reputable company. I won’t be concerned making a purchase from them. I know a person who bought from them.

If that happens, just leave it for a while. Once it hardens most of that will come away with a stiff nylon brush and if it still looks too bad you can always give it another coat. Thomas, I'm not sure but it could just be some resin or sticky oil from the product that's risen to the surface. if it doesn't come off on your hands, then I don't think it's a train smash but if you can scrape it off with your nail then something has prevented curing.
