Hilux4x4 Pen vs Postal Service

Hi,

Received my Hilux4x4 renewal letter the other day. Always look forward to my new pen
as I use it for my vehicle petrol log.
This is how it arrived:

Vigo radio unit - 2012

Morning Everyone, I started having issues with my bluetooth connected cell phone on my radio unit. It suddenly started giving a very bad connection. Bit difficult to explain, but it's like always having a bad cell connection. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting the phone, but has made no difference. ...

Snorkel for 2012 V6

Hi Everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My new snorkel arrived last week for my 2012 Hilux V6, but I'm a bit weary about the fitment now, as the template makes extensive use of the location of the indicators on the front fender, but the indicators have been moved to the mirrors now :? Any sugges...

So they managed to pry the wheel locking tool out. Excellent idea, but useless without the key . . . :eh:

Re: Spare wheel with long range tank.

It seems something in that spare wheel unlock tunnel has changed. The attached shows what it should look like, but the connection I see in mine (with a torch), doesn't look anything like this. Anyways, bakkie was 2 days at Toyota while they tried to figure this out. Can collect this morning. I'll up...

Re: Spare wheel with long range tank.

Hi Drikus,

That sounds like a pretty big job . . .

I'm going to Toyota this arvie to see if they can assist with this.
I hope I don't need to take such drastic action.

Cheers

Spare wheel with long range tank.

Hi, I'm having a bit of an issue in getting my spare wheel off my Hilux (2012), which was purchased with a long range tank. The spare wheel is now lower than normal, so I'd like to take it off when offroading, but this has become a bit of a challenge. I connected the 3 rods, tightened the screws and...

Re: Nudge bar replacement plate

Hi Thunder02,

I thought about that, but the one side is angled with a ding in it,
so I'm not sure how I'd get that sorted.
Placed it in a 12 ton press and we couldn't get the thing straight . . .

Nudge bar replacement plate

Hi Everyone, I need some help here. I gave my old nudge bar a bit of a ding :o: when offroading and this is what one of the attachment plates looks like (Nudge plate I). It should look like (Nudge plate II). Any ideas where I can have one made, I'd like to sell the nudge bar (with spots), but I need...

Re: 2005 Hilux V6 engine "noise"

Ah well . . . too late she cried . . .
Had to stop at Toyota yesterday afternoon, the noise was so bad.
The Service Manager said I couldn't drive any further as the 'thing'
was about to seize.
So now we'll hear what kind of bank loan I'll need to cover this ! ! :?

2005 Hilux V6 engine "noise"

Hi,

My Hilux has suddenly started making a helluva racket from the engine when starting.
It souns like a bearing whine, but very noisy.

My Mate has a 2006 Hilux V6 and he's started this quite sometime ago.
Anybody else experiencing this or had it looked at ?

Thanx

Cheers

Re: Trail Query

Thanx for all the replies, look's like I may need a week in that area . . . The one at Crystal Springs is a very rocky route, and not much of a 4x4 trail, but the bridge at the bottom, to get to the trail was washed away about 2 years ago. It's for this reason we were thinking of doing a d...

Stuck CD

Hi, I'm trying to help a Mate, with the removal of a CD that is stuck in his bakkies radio.
Has anyone done this before ?

I have removed the entire unit and there is usually a release mechanism, but I can't locate
it.
Please HELP . . . :?

Thanx

Broken dust cover

Hi Everyone, I somehow, broke the little plastic frame that holds the transfer case gear lever dust cover in place. Toyota want to charge R 700.00 :o: for a replacement part and you cant buy the plastic frame seperately. Anybody got a workaround for this. Seems like it's a reasonably common problem....
