Thanks Thabo, interesting and simply amazing how well these vehicles keep its value. Thanks a lot for your response. I've notice that Toyota is now the no 1 vehicle brand in the USA. it seems the 3rz engined vehicles are thirsty but virtually indestructible.

I have installed one on my D4D. It is similar to the one from Mr Turbo. The only issue was it had an inlet and out let right next to one another. Sold my new 2.4 GD6 D/C 4x4 due to gearbox issues and other frustrations and bought a 2010 Tuna with 105000 Km's in mint condition. A Ford? no please, they just do not last seriously! LOL. I'm not sure if the SR has the same torque (400 Nm) and a 6 speed like the SRX. If it does I'd say, it is a serious contender, 4 sure. :thumbup:

Just spoke to a (good) pal at TSA. The SR will NOT launch in a wide body and/or with mags. I got the same reply when making inquiries yesterday. So far I'm happy with the vehicle. It is surprisingly light on fuel and I enjoy the torque in traffic. Very quiet and relaxing / cant wait to take it out ...

With the older Hilux's, the petrol engines outlast the diesels by far. They thirsty but they don't break! Diff lock more effective off road than a limited slip diff. However, the latter has the edge on road holding during normal asphalt driving. Its exactly what is says "Limited" for off road work. Diff lock is the answer but is it worth it?
